  3. Primary Schools - Leprechaun Cup 2017 Update 4
22nd May 2017 by CL Youth

Primary Schools - Leprechaun Cup 2017 Update 4

In what is commonly seen as the flagship of the Leinster Development programme, many further games were completed last week in the various 'Blue Insurance' Primary schools competitions.

Today will see the final of the 4th Class Cup at Booterstown, where hosts Willow Park will play St Mary’s College from Rathmines at 3.15pm.

Saturday will see the final of this year’s Super League competition where St Mary’s will play newcomers St Michael’s Junior school. This year’s Super League has again been a huge success with 12 year old boys and girls getting to play weekly fixtures, all at a particularly good standard.

The Leprechaun Cup is nearing completion also with the following schools remaining in this year’s competition – Oliver Plunkett’s Malahide, Milverton, St Patrick’s Diswellstown, Tyrellstown ET, St Brigid’s Castleknock, Synge Street, Howth Road, Rathfarnham Parish & Taney NS.

Friday will see the final of the Fingal Girls cup with two Malahide schools participating – St Andrew’s & Oliver Plunkett’s. It is encouraging to see many of these girls already joining up with Malahide CC to play more this summer.
