Under 15 InterProvincial Series Kicks Off on Monday June 25 ^th

A massive week of InterProvincial cricket is in prospect for the Under 15 cricketers of the Leinster region across four venues in North Fingal.

This is an outstanding opportunity for some of Leinster’s latest group of emerging players to make a name for themselves. Leinster Development Manager Brian O’Rourke has a very strong association with this age-group and has overseen a training programme that started way back in October 2017.

“Following on from the winter sessions, we had a series of productive outdoor session over the past six weeks, culminating with an internal match at Malahide CC on Thursday that proved most beneficial for both sides,” O’Rourke said.

“This festival is a key week in the Leinster player development programme and it will be great to watch the boys express themselves ‘out in the middle’ throughout the week.

“They’ll be striving to maintain the high standards set by our Union at this particular age-group over the past ten years,” O’Rourke added.

O’Rourke and Cricket Leinster General Manager, Philip Smith, acknowledged the support the Under 15s receive to prepare so well for a competition the boys really look forward to.

“From a Cricket Leinster perspective,” Philip Smith said, “we would like to acknowledge the sponsorship support from DineroCard for our underage representative teams.

“As part of this partnership with DineroCard, their logo is proudly displayed as shirt sponsor to both the Leinster and Southern teams.”

There is not just the LCU squad taking part in this InterProvincial week, there are no fewer than 11 Leinster players involved in the Southern squad.

The LCU and Southern squads are listed below with the competition getting under way at 11am in Monday June 25 ^th. The LCU face the NCU at Inch, Balrothery while the Southern side take on the North West at The Hills.
