Eligibility/registration of Dublin University players for other clubs.
The OCC discussed this at our recent meeting and has agreed the following.
The current Trinity starring list is on the website.
a) Since Trinity 1st XI fixtures are complete, the eight players shown in 1.1 on the Trinity list are now eligible to play for their other clubs once they have been properly registered (see e) below).
b) Players listed in 1.2 or 2.1 on the Trinity list become eligible for other clubs following the Trinity 2 fixture on next Sat - 14th June. Again proper registration is essential. Trinity 2nds have some other matches left and these players remain eligible to play for Trinity in these.
c) Players listed in 2.2 or in other players remain registered with Trinity. If however they wish to move to another club they can request OCC to be allowed to do so. Such moves will be governed by the normal regulations relating to players changing clubs mid –season. In a case of any such move being agreed the player will cease to be eligible for Trinity.
d) Since Trinity 2nds and 3rds have matches remaining, they may change their 2nd team list in the normal way in coming weeks.
e) With regard to the mechanics of registration the following is the position. Some players when they registered for Trinity, indicated the other club for which they wished to register. These registrations will be automatically transferred in accordance with the dates above. Those who did not so indicate must register for their other club once they are eligible and wish to play.
