  3. Mid Season Report: RSA OCD09
7th July 2014 by Eddie Lewis

Mid Season Report: RSA OCD09

Division 9 is another nine-team league but only 28 matches have been played up to the start of July with four NRs. Phoenix IV have yet to lose a game and are the clear leaders with a margin of nearly 30 percentage points over their nearest rivals. As a result attention is likely to focus on the competition for the second promotion place. There are four teams within 10 percentage points of each other, North County IV, Sandyford II, Swords and Greystones II. At the other end of the Table, Leinster V are struggling and have yet to win a match. Ringcommons and Mullingar II are neck and neck in 7th/8th spot on 28%.

A total of 169 players [up to 23rd June] have competed in Division 9, of whom 38 are youth players. Eoin Lenehan [280] is way out in front in terms of the number of runs scored and is also top of the averages [of those qualified]. There have been five centuries with Stephen Kenealy [111] having achieved the highest individual score. Only one player qualifies for the bowling averages with ten or more wickets and that is U15 Aaron O’Neill from Terenure, who has a best of 6/44. The best individual bowling is Zia Mohuddin [6/31] from North County.
