Message from OCC re rained off matches

Further to my mail some days ago re the above, a number of clubs have contacted me and OCC have given further consideration to the matter.

It is now felt the following should be the position.

a) For any Division 3 or 4 match where the original scheduled date is after 1st September and where the match yields no result,no refixture is required. Both teams will receive 8 points.

b) For Division 1 or 2 matches where the original scheduled date is after 1st September and where the original fixture yields no result, the following shall apply

c) If a definite result could be of significance in terms of winning a league/promotion/relegation for either team the game must be refixed. If the result is of no particular significance to either team, no refixture is required.

d) A refixture under c) above must be completed by Fri 20th September. Such refixture may be played as - a one evening T20 match or - a one evening match of less than 20 overs a side or - a T20 match over two evenings, In all such cases the format and start time is to be agreed between the clubs.

If no agreement on date(s)can be reached, the refixture will be a one or two evening T20 match finishing on Fri 20th September - starting time 4.30 pm for one evening, 6.00 pm for two evening.

Points will be awarded in line with the schedule on the website for Divs 1-4 refixes. If any such refix ends with no result, 8 points will be awarded to each side.

It is the responsibility of the clubs to advise the LCUSA of new date(s).

LCUSA umpires cannot be guaranteed but as per regulations matches must take place.
