Media Accreditation for Summer Smash

Cricket Leinster is now accepting applications for media accreditation to the Summer Smash between Leinster Lightning and Middlesex on 21 June 2019. Applications for accreditation will close at 5pm, Monday 17th June 2019. Please note that accreditation by Cricket Ireland for the 2019 season is not applicable to this event. Due to limited space and high expected demand, accreditation will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Please ensure you read through the details below and complete the online form carefully, in order to ensure as efficient an assessment process as possible.

Applicants will receive an email to regarding the status of their accreditation and, if successful, this will email will also outline how you will receive your pass.

Qualification Criteria

To qualify for accreditation, the applicant must be:

  • working for a recognised news or sports publication, agency or website which is available to the general public; and/or
  • a holder of an approved national press association membership card; and/or
  • known by Cricket Leinster and/or Middlesex; and/or
  • intending to use content generated as a result of receiving accreditation for journalistic purposes only (i.e. content must not be used for commercial purposes).

All applicants applying under the category of Photographer must be:

  • Able to provide evidence that they hold adequate public liability insurance in accordance to Cricket Leinster Accreditation Terms and Conditions 2019.

Once applications have been received, Cricket Leinster reserves the right to seek additional documentation from applicants to support their application. This may include a supporting letter from their employer (or for freelancers from the organisations to which their work is submitted), and samples of recently published cricket work (press and photographers) or recordings of two recent reports (broadcasters).

Photographer Public Liability Insurance Documentation

All photography applicants are required to provide evidence of Public Liability Insurance cover for an amount of not less than €6,500,000 for any one occurrence and free from any restrictions or exclusions in respect of his/her activities at the venue.

You can either upload a PDF version of your PLI during the application process via the media portal, or alternatively, please email kevin.gallagher@cricketleinster.ie with the attached Word or PDF document that contains adequate evidence of Public Liability Insurance cover.

The subject and content of the email should read as below to enable Cricket Leinster to accurately process your application.

For individuals/freelance photographers

Subject: “Applicants Name” Photographers Public Liability Insurance

Email Content: Full Name as per accreditation application; full organisation name as per accreditation application; full email address and home address as per accreditation application

For Agencies, Media Companies and Organisations

Subject: “Organisation Name” Photographers Public Liability Insurance

Email Content: Full Organisation Name as per accreditation application; full list of photographers that have applied for Cricket Ireland accreditation on behalf of the organization; full organisation address as per accreditation application.
