LTI Table Cricket Leinster Finals Day to Mark the International Day for Persons with Disabilities
Cricket Leinster is delighted to host the inaugural LTI Table Cricket Leinster Finals Day tomorrow at the world-class Sport Ireland Indoor Centre, coinciding with the International Day for Persons with Disabilities. The day provides a fitting opportunity to highlight the power of inclusive sport, celebrate participation across all abilities, and showcase the growing strength of table cricket within Leinster.
PRIMARY SCHOOLS FINALS – THREE SCHOOLS, ONE TITLE
After several exciting county level fixtures, three primary schools have earned their place in tomorrow’s Leinster Finals. Representing South Dublin County Council, Lucan ETNS booked their spot last Friday with a strong win over Libermann Spiritan School, Templeogue. They join St. Michael’s Holy Angels, Chapelizod, the Fingal champions who claimed a thrilling 11-run victory over St. Luke’s NS, Tyrellstown, as well as Scoil Bhríde & Scoil Mhuire (Green Lane), Leixlip, who proudly carry the flag for Kildare after showing great commitment and enthusiasm throughout their preparations for the provincial competition.
The three schools will each face one another once in a round-robin format, with the title awarded to the team with the most wins. Should teams finish level, the winner will be decided by net run rate.

SECONDARY SCHOOLS FINALS – COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS FIRST, THEN A PROVINCIAL FINAL
This year sees strong secondary-school participation, with four schools competing — two representing Kildare and two from Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. Each county section will first determine its champion, and the two county winners will then meet in a provincial decider later in the day to crown the Secondary Schools LTI Leinster Table Cricket Champion 2025.
This expanded participation marks an exciting milestone for table cricket in Leinster, further embedding the discipline into the Cricket Leinster Cricket4All pathway.

SUPPORT FROM LORD’S TAVERNERS IRELAND
The Finals Day is proudly run in partnership with Lord’s Taverners Ireland (LTI), whose longstanding commitment to disability cricket in Leinster continues to open doors to inclusive sporting experiences for young people across the province.
Ger Siggins, President of LTI, shared his excitement ahead of the event:
“Lord's Taverners Ireland are delighted to support this brilliant initiative of our partners Cricket Leinster. Cricket has always strived to be as inclusive as possible and Table Cricket is such an exciting form of the game and also allows many people to take part who would otherwise be unable to. To be able to represent your school – and go on to compete at county and provincial level – is a great honour and I have no doubt the participants will benefit greatly from this Cricket Leinster Table Cricket event. We are sure this new competition will be a great success and will go from strength to strength.”

A WORD FROM CRICKET LEINSTER
“We are incredibly excited to welcome schools from across Leinster to the first-ever LTI Table Cricket Leinster Finals Day. The energy from the children throughout the county stages has been amazing — for many, it is their first ever sporting competition. It means a huge amount to see the vision for this new format come to life, thanks to the unwavering support of Cricket Leinster and Lord’s Taverners Ireland.
We are also honoured to have Ed Joyce, former Ireland and England international cricketer and LTI Ambassador, joining us to meet the participants and present the awards. His presence will make the day even more special for the players.” - Naomi Scott-Hayward (Disability, Inclusion and Participation Manager, Cricket Leinster)
