The Sherwin O’Riordan sponsored Leinster Lightning begin their IP50 campaign on Tuesday next (30th June) when they travel to Bready to take on the North West Warriors.
Leinster Lightning has dominated the IP competitions since they were reconstituted in 2013 and last year’s success was their 10th time as IP50 Champions in the 13 years of the competition.
It was also their 6th double (IP20 & IP50) despite the continued reallocation of many CL players to other PU teams.

Head Coach Andre Botha has selected an unchanged squad from that which recently completed back-to-back IP20 wins at Sydney Parade including Matt Hollard (Balbriggan) and Jai Moondra (Leinster) who both had spectacular International debuts when Ireland defeated India in Belfast yesterday.

Hollard took 3/28 whilst Moondra finished with 2/25 including the wicket of Sanju Samson with his first ball in International cricket.
Congrats also to the Lightning captain, Lorcan Tucker (Pembroke) who completed his first match as Ireland’s permanent T20 captain with 50 off 36 balls and a 34-run win over the world champions!
The Leinster Lightning squad is therefore as follows:
Lorcan Tucker, Pembroke (Capt, Wkt)
Tim Tector (Pembroke)
Chris DeFreitas (Balbriggan)
Harry Tector (Pembroke)
George Dockrell (Phoenix)
Stephen Doheny (Merrion)
Fionn Hand (Clontarf)
David Delany (Clontarf)
Gavin Hoey (Pembroke)
Matthew Hollard (Balbriggan)
Jai Moondra (Leinster)
Ben White (Phoenix)
Byron McDonough (Pembroke)
Head Coach: Andre Botha
