Leinster Lightning will travel to Wallace Park in Lisburn to play an IP20 double-header on Thursday 11th June as part of the 3-team IP20 ‘Festival’ in the NCU region next week.

In the only completed game of the North West Festival, the Lightning defeated their hosts by 20 runs in a game reduced to 16 overs. No surprise that the star of the abbreviated show in Bready was George Dockrell who combined with Harry Tector to plunder 72 off just 28 balls to set the Lightning well on their way to 179/9 leaving the NW needing over 11 per over in the chase.
Dockrell finished with 57 ((three fours, six sixes) whilst Tector contributed 34. The returning Fionn Hand also chipped in with an unbeaten 25 to get his return to IP cricket off to an encouraging start.
The pick of the bowlers for Leinster were Jai Moondra (3/31) and that man George Dockrell with 2/21 in a fine all-round performance.

This details of the two Lightning fixtures (which both take place on Thursday 11th June) are as follows:
⇒ North West Warriors vs Leinster Lightning (IP20, 10.45am start, Wallace Park, Lisburn).
⇒ Northern Knights vs Leinster Lightning (IP20, 3.30pm start, Wallace Park, Lisburn).
With continuing absences (mainly through injuries), the Lightning squad for the double-header in Lisburn is unchanged from that which travelled to Bready last week.
The squad selected for the trip to Lisburn is therefore as follows:
Lorcan Tucker, Pembroke (Capt, Wkt)
Tim Tector (Pembroke)
Chris DeFreitas (Balbriggan)
Harry Tector (Pembroke)
Séamus Lynch (Clontarf)
George Dockrell (Phoenix)
Jeremy Martins (Malahide)
Fionn Hand (Clontarf)
Jai Moondra (Leinster)
Matthew Hollard (Balbriggan)
Ben White (Phoenix)
Stephen Doheny (Merrion)
Byron McDonough (Pembroke)
Head Coach: Andre Botha
