Coach of the team Kenny Carroll commented on the team and the forthcoming match as follows:

"This match is a great opportunity for the players selected to further their cricketing development. We have a good blend of experienced representative players and some who will be representing their province for the first time. Stephen Doheny is our captain and he is fresh from helping Ireland clinch the European title last week in England and has featured for Rush this season in Division 2.  We also have players who are performing well in the lower OCC divisions and in youth cricket. There is good strength in depth at the under 15 age group currently in Leinster and this is demonstrated with the team we have selected. The Mardyke is one of the best cricket grounds in Ireland and Leinster v Munster matches are always very competitive across all sports so all the players are eagerly anticipating this match."
