An exciting opportunity has arisen for young Leinster cricketers (aged 14-17) to partake in a week-long training camp at the world famous La Manga sports club near Murcia in South East Spain. The dates involved are December 15th to December 22nd and will incorporate full net activities, video analysis, middle practice, fielding and fitness work (gym, swimming, water polo, soccer, tennis and squash).
Players and coaching staff will stay at the 4-star Las Lomas Village and will have use of the state of the art facilities at the popular sporting resort (as used by many professional sporting squads including Real Madrid, Chelsea and more recently Munster rugby and both the Dublin and Armagh Gaelic football squads). The facility is used and approved by the ICC and is the venue for the ICC Europe Academies & Centres of Excellence held during April each year.
Costs are still to be confirmed but we are looking at an approx figure of Eur 950 that will include flights, accommodation, internal transport, food and all cricket activities.
