  3. Leinster Senior Career Averages [Batting]
15th April 2017 by Eddie Lewis

Leinster Senior Career Averages [Batting]

There are 68 players who have reached the target of 5000 runs needed to be included in the Leinster Senior Cricket Batting Averages. Of these 13 competed in D1/D2 last season. The Senior Averages Averages cover all those players who played in Leinster Senior League since 1919 [and what was effectively D2 following the splitting of the league in 1993], the Leinster Senior Cup since 1935 and the various forms of the Leinster Senior League / Cup [various titles] between 1974 and 2009.

Perhaps of greater interest as we approach the new season - there are three current players who have a reasonable chance of reaching the 5000 run threshold this season.

J P O’Dwyer [Leinster], currently on 4,647 runs and thus requires 353

Finton McAllister [Malahide], currently on 4,746 runs and thus requires 254

Simranjit Singh [YMCA], currently on 4,949 runs and thus requires 51

Last season three players joined the ranks of the 5000 plus club, John Anderson [4th], Tom Fisher [10th] and Bill Coghlan [28th].
