The Leinster Lightning squad to face the Northern Knights in Stormont has been confirmed.
Simi Singh returns from injury for the Lightning ahead of tomorrow’s game, whilst there’s also a return to the squad for Malahide man David O’Halloran and YMCA’s Rory Anders who both missed last week’s fixture against the Munster Reds.
Lightning coach Nigel Jones is looking forward to the game;
”Naturally we are looking forward to the opportunity to bounce back from last week’s fixture against the Reds, we were unfortunate to have 6 bowling options unavailable last week.
“It was a good track in Pembroke and I thought we batted well keeping wickets in hand to set up a great platform to set us up for the boys to come in at the end and hit the ball really well at the end of the innings, particularly our last 7-10 overs.”
Looking ahead to next week’s game, Jones is positive about the returns of some key men to the side;
“We look forward to welcoming back Simi Singh to the side after being out with a recent injury, same for David O’Halloran who has been building up his skills returning from a dislocated shoulder, and of course Rory Anders is available this week having had work commitments last week
Those three returning will certainly bolster our bowling stocks and hopefully we can put on a good show for the Lightning faithful this week”
