Summary Status
During the first quarter of 2022, we have had over 2,500 people receiving cricket sessions in the South Dublin area. This will culminate in several strands of cricket competitions.
We are delighted to have 17 teams entered into the two School Leagues in the South Dublin County Council area:
We will have a Table Cricket Competition for kids with disabilities. This is supported by our charity partners, Lords Taverner’s Ireland.
We are also planning a number of Blitz competitions for 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class teams from schools across the South Dublin area. This year we will be teaming up with DLR & Wicklow Development Officer, (Jim Stewart) to run a 4th Class Blitz in Marley Park in June.

5th Class Soft Ball Competition
The 5th Class soft ball competition is a new competition this year.
The teams are split into 2 sections:
Section 1 are all boys teams and
Section 2 are a combination of all girls and mixed teams.
Each team will play each other once using their local cricket clubs - Adamstown Cricket Club in Corkagh Park, Clondalkin Cricket Club in Tymon Park or Terenure Cricket Club. The schools will arrange all their matches themselves and we will provide umpires and scorers for the matches. They will kick off at the end of May.
6th Class Leprechaun Cup Competition
The 6th Class Leprechaun Cup Competition has 3 Pools, where each team will play each other once. The winners of each Pool will then play against each other in a County Championship day so that we will have an overall South Dublin County Champion.
