  3. LEINSTER LIGHTNING BOLTS IN NORTH WEST (19/20 JULY)
16th July 2023 by Cricket Leinster

LEINSTER LIGHTNING BOLTS IN NORTH WEST (19/20 JULY)

The Sherwin O’Riordan sponsored Leinster Lightning Bolts squad has been announced for the next Interprovincial Future Series fixtures against the Emerging Warriors later this week as follows:

⇒ Wednesday 19th July: T20 Match starting at 1.30pm

⇒ Thursday 20th July: 50-Over Match starting at 10.45am

There are five changes from the squad which travelled to Cork just three weeks ago - Seamus Lynch is unavailable, Reuben Wilson is out with a back injury whilst Amish Sidhu, Cian Nulty and Olly Riley are rotated from the squad to allow for the Bolts’ bowling resources to be fully utilised across the series.

The Bolts has already completed two comprehensive wins over the Munster Heat last month in Cork and will be looking to continue this form as they take on their North West counterparts across the same two formats. Both games will take place at Ardmore CC in County Derry.

As before, the squad includes a good mix of players from across seven CL Premier League & Championship clubs and also some players who already featured for Leinster Lightning this season and/or in the inaugural CL Under 23 District competition (which was ultimately won by Dublin City).

In all, the Bolts are playing six fixtures (all away from home) against the other three Unions – their final round of matches will be against the Emerging Knights in Stormont on 9th & 10th August.
