Having produced a devastating all-round performance to overcome Munster Heat at the Mardyke last week, the Sherwin O’Riordan sponsored Leinster Lightning Bolts are scheduled to host the Emerging Knights at Oak Hill next week.
The two Future Series 50-Over games are as follows:
Tuesday 11th: Leinster Bolts vs Emerging Knights (11.30am Oak Hill)
Wednesday 12th: Leinster Bolts vs Emerging Knights (11.30am Oak Hill)
With decent player availability, Andre Botha and Barry Grimes are in a position to name a strong squad for these two fixtures with limited change from the team which won by 258 runs in Cork.
Daniel Forkin (Merrion) returns to the squad having made a vital ton when the two sides last met (in the 2-day format). The Merrion all-rounder finished that game unbeaten on 108 from 174 deliveries, his patient innings that day contained 12 fours and five sixes and earned the Bolts a draw.
Olly Riley’s return further strengthens the bowling attack which also includes Mark Tonge (Leinster) and Yash Balasubramanian (Clontarf) who shared all 10 wickets in the rout of Munster at The Mardyke last week.
