A training squad has been selected for winter coaching sessions currently being held at both North County Cricket Club and King’s Hospital School. Eight coaching sessions run over the winter has given the boys an opportunity to further develop their skills and to try to gain selection onto the Leinster U'17 side for a series of games planned this summer. This year saw the introduction of outdoor fitness and fielding sessions run by coaches Kenny Carroll and Richard Lawrence held under lights at Railway Union on Saturday evenings during November.
As well as playing in this year’s interprovincial series, some of the squad will also take part in a tour to Durham and Newcastle in June. The now annual festival will take place at Brandon Cricket Club and will involve a series of games against the Northern Universities (NUSC).
