  3. Late mid-season review of Division 6
23rd July 2014 by Eddie Lewis

Late mid-season review of Division 6

Knockharley are in a strong position at the top of the leader-board with six wins out of seven completed matches. With six games to go [including one each against the two following clubs Rush II and Phoenix III] there is still plenty to play for. It is between these three for the two promotion spots.

Wins last weekend [not included in the current tables] for the bottom two sides Castleknock and North Kildare II has certainly opened up the battle for survival. There are now four teams involved – Longford and Railway IV are also in the mix. A close finish to be expected.

161 players have competed in this eight team league, with 26 youth players. Ten players qualify for the batting averages – minimum score of 150. Top scorer is Kanwar Arora from Sandyford with 254. There have been three centuries, including a massive 160 from Imran Mohammed [Railway] in his only match at this level. A couple of Not Out by Patrick Sheridan [Rush, however, means that he does not to the averages.
