The next Open Competitions final for 2015 takes place on Saturday next – 8th August. Details as follows:

The Middle 2 Cup was introduced in 1999 when increased team numbers required a new competition between the Middle and Intermediate Cups. Rangan of Russell Court Hotel and Railway Union C.C. kindly provided the original trophy. Unfortunately this was mislaid in 2012 but the Dundrum club donated a new trophy. Neither club has won the current trophy but Knockharley won the original one in 2006. They were also unsuccessful finalists in 2008. Laois have never won the competition, being on the losing side in their only final appearance in 2004. They will however be hoping to emulate the success of their 1st XI in the Senior 2 Cup final last weekend.
