Irish Competitions: R1 RSA National Cup

In the first round of the inaugural RSA National Cup there were victories for Civil Service, Balbriggan, Ballaghadereen, Old Belvedere and Rush [in bowl out]. Malahide lost to Newbuildings and Mullingar and North Kildare Muckamore and Holywwod respectively. Oakhill conceded to Eglinton.

The draw for the second round will take place today [13th May]

The full results were:

St Johnston beat Woodvale by 67 runs. Boathole, 
St Johnston 251 (50.0 overs, S Dixit 79, I McBeth 61, S Johnston 5-55)
Woodvale 184 (44.4 overs, L Christian 44, W Connelluy 41, J Robinson 3-14, R McBeth 2-36, D Lapsley 2-44)


Ardmore lost to Civil Service by 141 runs, Bleachgreen, 
Civil Service 280-8 (48.0 overs, S Mistry 106*, M Hussain 79, A Kulkarni 4-78, S Gormley 2-50)
Ardmore 139 (38.1 overs, P Patterson 33, N Khan 4-31, A Ullah 3-32)


Mullingar lost to Muckamore by 9 wickets.Mullingar,

Muckamore 79-1 (11.3 overs, J van der Merwe  46*)


New Buildings beat Malahide by 93 runs. Donemana,

Bangor lost to Sion Mills by 1 wicket. Upritchard Park,

Burndennett beat Donacloney by 10 wickets.

Old Belvedere beat Killyclooney by 7 wickets. Cabra,

Dundrum lost to Rush 3-1 in a bowlout.
