Cricket Leinster General Manager, Philip Smith spoke of the importance of the T20 Festival weekend, "Cricket Leinster is delighted to have been asked to host the first ever Interpro T20 Festival weekend and we are very much looking forward to some fantastic cricket over three consecutive days in Pembroke. Leinster Lightning's continued success is very much down to the support of all of our 42 clubs across the Leinster region and I'd like to call on all of our clubs to come down in big numbers to Pembroke this weekend, particularly on 'Super Saturday' so we can create a fantastic atmosphere to support our team as they try to retain the T20 trophy."
In a further coup for the inaugural T20 Festival, Cricket Leinster is delighted to announce that it will live-stream all six matches of the tournament over Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the support of Leinster Lightning's primary sponsors, Cairn Homes PLC. Nearly 20 hours of live cricket with a full three camera production and clipped highlight packages will go out via the Cricket Leinster website and the official Cricket Leinster YouTube page.
Smith emphasised the importance of the live streaming exposure for the Festival and Leinster Lightning. "We're incredibly thankful for the ongoing support of all of our sponsors and want to particularly thank Cairn Homes for making it possible to give the T20 Festival weekend the coverage it deserves. We believe that Albert van der Merwe's Leinster Lightning side are playing some superb cricket of late and it's crucial for us to be able to continue to engage with a wider audience, which is exactly what the live-stream broadcasts of every match will do."
In addition to the live-stream, Cricket Leinster will be providing video highlight clips and further updates from throughout the weekend on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages with regular updates also on the website - www.cricketleinster.ie.
