  3. Grounds Advisory Service
16th November 2017 by Cricket Leinster

Grounds Advisory Service

Cricket Leinster is pleased to advise that it is partnering with Trinity College and GM By Choice Landscape Management to renovate the cricket square in Trinity. This will be a multi-year project and will result in Trinity being available for use by Cricket Leinster Representative and Interprovincial teams in subsequent seasons.

This is a major step forward for cricket in the province and we are delighted to have this opportunity to partner with Trinity in this way.

As part of our ongoing programme to support our member clubs, we have also agreed an arrangement with GM By Choice to provide clubs with a once-off, free-of-charge advisory review in relation to their cricket ground which would include:

- assessment and on-site advice on outfield, square and artificial surfaces (where applicable)

- assessment and on-site advice in respect of machinery and equipment

- advice on preparation of playing surfaces

- advice on improvements and contracting works (if required)

We expect this service to be of particular interest and benefit to those clubs who do not currently have a dedicated groundskeeper or are reliant on third-parties for the upkeep of their ground/playing area.

Any clubs interested in availing of this service should contact Dale McDonough, Managing Director, GM By Choice (e-mail:gmbychoice@gmail.com).

For context, GM By Choice is responsible for the maintenance of cricket pitches and outfields at YMCA CC, Pembroke CC and Merrion CC.
