Five Leinster teams make it through to the Irish [Bob Kerr] Senior Cup. The Hills and Railway Union advanced by means of bowl outs against CIYMS and Leinster respectively. Merrion had a comfortable victory against Clontarf. Having bowled Clontarf out for 163 thanks largely to a five wicket haul by Ben Ackland, undefeated 50s from Dom Joyce and Tim Lang saw Merrion home by eight wickets. Previously YMCA had deeated Terenure and North County had a good victory against North Down.
The pick of the Quarter Finals is probably North County's trip to Waringstown who are looking strong favourities for the competition this year. There is one all Lesinter clash where YMCA take on The Hills. Railway Union and Merrion have home fixtures against Donemena and CSNI.
