Four T20 finals were decided over the weekend. On Saturday in the final of the YMCA Salver, DLR County 2 defeated Clontarf 3 by five wickets. Batting first Clontarf only managed 118/9 in their 20 overs with only Damian Gargan [35] making a telling contribution. Three wickets each for Sanket Patil [3/28] and Jinto Mathew [3/26] did the damage. For DLR, Arjun Chandraseker led the way with a run a ball 46* and brought his team home in the 19th over.
In the second match, for the Tillain Cup, Pembroke 2 brought home the trophy for the first tie in about 20 years. They defeated Phoenix 2 by about 30 runs.
On Sunday, in the Russell Court Trophy Final, Tyrrelstown 2 beat Gorey by four wickets. It was very much a team effort from the Tyrrelstown side but special mention of the efforts of Manoj Babu who made 31 and took 2/22.
In the Whelan Cup final Balbriggan 3 beat Lucan.
