Elections and nominations at AGM

The recent Annual General Meeting of the Leinster Cricket Union approved the appointment of Officers and Members to the key committees in Leinster.

The most important change was at the top where Roland Bradley takes over as President of the Union for a two-year term. Roland is formerly Secretary and President of Laois Cricket Club, has served on a number of LCU committees and has been heavily involved in the past with the Midlands Cricket Association. He replaces Henry Tighe whose term as President come to an end. Henry remains as an Officer of the Union as Immediate Past President.

The other two Officers of the Union, Mary Sharp, as Honourary Secretary, and Pat Banahan, as Honourary Treasurer, are unchanged.

The four members voted onto the Executive Committee of the Union were:

-       Jim Bennett [The Hills]

-       Heatley Tector [YMCA]

-       Paul Reynolds [Leinster]

-       Matt Sheridan [Rush]

Brian O’Sullivan [Youth], Helen Caird [Women] , Michael Sharp [OCC] have been nominated to the Executive Committee by their respective organisations.

Finance Committee

-       Arthur Vincent [YMCA]

-       Peter Tramley [Pembroke]

-       Cillian McCarthy [Greystones]

-       Gerry Fennell [North Kildare]

 

Development Committee

-       David Drane [Greystones]

-       Derek Dockrell [YMCA]

 

Grounds Committee

-       Paul Reynolds [Leinster]

-       Ken McDonald [Terenure]

 

Open Competitions Committee

Chair                           Gerry Murphy

Secretary                    Michael Sharp

Committee

Brian Dalton [Terenure], Willie Clarke [Phoenix], Adrian Tudor [Laois], Ray Shimmons [Sandyford], Philip Deacon [Bagenalstown] and Hadley Southall [Railway]

 

Discipline Committee

David Brennan [Terenure], Peter Geoffroy [Merrion], Barry Collins, Philip Byrne [Pembroke], Matt Sheridan [Rush], Tom Prior [Clontarf, and David Pigot [Phoenix]

 

Appeals Committee

Chair               Philip Furlong [Terenure].
