Division 2 fixtures for the 2015 season

The Open Competitions Committee has released the Division 2 fixtures for the 2015 season.

There will be three new teams to the division, with The Hills 1 and Terenure 1 coming down from Division 1, and YMCA 2 coming up from Division 3 (there has been a reduction in the division from nine teams to eight teams). Dublin University will continue to play half a season, with the other teams playing thirteen matches to Dublin University's seven.

The students have the toughest of starts, as they travel to Irish Senior Cup champions The Hills on April 25th. Leinster will host Terenure in a Dublin 6/6W derby, whilst YMCA 2 will make their Division 2 debut with a tough looking match at home to Rush 1. The final match in Week 1 sees a potentially intriguing tie, as two mid table clubs from 2014 face off, as Phoenix travel to Balbriggan.

Trinity's last three matches have been re-arranged, meaning they play their last match on May 30th. The other seven teams will complete the season with one team each week having a bye. It all concludes on Sunday 6th September, with The Hills hostin Phoenix, which has all the makings of a top of the table clash. There will be plenty of other teams who also feel they have a chance of the title, with Leinster travelling to Rush on the last weekend. Terenure will be sitting at home that weekend, hoping that they have already done enough, whilst YMCA 2 will host Balbriggan
