  3. Division 14 - 2011 Season Review
13th October 2011 by Paul Reynolds

Division 14 - 2011 Season Review

The top few divisions in the Open Comps have already been reviewd, so let's start at the bottom and work our way upwards, with a look at how Division 14 finished, and who did what.

Halverstown 2 won the league in their debut season, with an excellent return of only two losses in their 12 games. Halverstown lost two of their first five matches, before embarking on a win of seven victories to win the league.

The batting was dominated by two Halverstown players (perhaps not surprisingly), with Ian Walker scoring 321 runs at 80.25, and Michael neville 268 runs at 53.6. Two others passed the 200 run barrier - both Merrion players, Raj Purushotham with 224 runs at 37.33 and Harminder Singh with 203 runs at 50.75.

There were no centurions, but two players managed 93*, Roy Shivmangal of Knockharley and Ronan White of Civil Service, with both knocks being against Clontarf 7. The top 30 in aggregate are below.
