  3. Damian Poder
13th November 2017 by Cricket Leinster

Damian Poder

it is with great sadness that Cricket Leinster has to announce that Damian Poder died this morning after a long battle with cancer. Damian played for many years with Merrion and captained the 1st XI between 2004 and 2006. He was an outstanding bowler who took over 300 senior wickets and twice won the O’Grady Cup [1997,1999]. He was also an exception fielder who took over a 100 catches and a destructive batsman, scoring nearly 4000 runs. Sympathy is extended to his wife Ailish, his son Cian, relatives and friends. RIP
