Following the announcement this evening that the Government is reintroducing temporary movement restrictions in the counties of Laois, Offaly and Kildare, please be advised that all CL fixtures relating to clubs in these counties have been cancelled with immediate effect for a period of two weeks (pending further Government guidance).
This means that the following fixtures will not now take place this weekend:
8/8 - Halverstown v North Kildare 3
8/8 - North Kildare v Dublin University
9/8 - Longford 2 v Naas
9/8 - Laois 2 v Mullingar 2
9/8 - North Kildare 2 v Merrion 3
9/8 - Mullingar v Laois
9/8 - Athlone 2 v Phoenix 6
In accordance with regulations for this abbreviated season, the points for all cancelled fixtures (Open & Women’s) will now be shared and league tables updated accordingly.
Whilst such impact on club cricket is unfortunate, we are all committed to following the guidance provided by the National Public Health Emergency Team and to playing our part in ensuring the safety of our community.
All other clubs and teams scheduled to play this weekend are reminded of the criticality of adhering to all aspects of our Covid Safety protocols.
