We, the Leinster Coaches Association (LeinsterCA), are growing. There has been a vast increase in people attending coaching courses over the last ten years and in the amount of cricket clubs in Leinster. The association has been revitalise with this growth and in order to provide what is needed for the development of coaches we are increasing our courses and finding new ways to provide support.
Cricket Ireland has created new roles in their Coach Education structure - Coaching Co-Ordinators. There is one for the North (Scott Irvine) and one for the South - our very own LeinsterCA committee member Bernard O'Mara. The South includes the Leinster region as well as Munster and Connaught. Bernard has taken on the task of liaising with Cricket Ireland to create the coach education calendar in the Leinster region. He is now doing all the admin for the courses and is the primary contact for anyone interested in any side of coaching. If you want to attend a course, if your club wants to run one in your premises, or if you're looking for any information on upcoming course - contact Bernard on oached@cricketireland.ie. Speaking of which - the new Coach Education Calendar can be seen here and lists out all the details for the upcoming courses as well as an outline of what is to come in the New Year. There are still spaces left on all of the courses so spread the word!
