COACH EDUCATION UPDATE (14.10.2024)

Over the last two weekends, 27 coaches have participated in our formal CL Coaching Courses for certification. Coaches came from a wide range of clubs including Adamstown, Clontarf, Clondalkin, Dundalk, Halverstown, Leinster, Malahide, Ongar, Pembroke, Phoenix, Railway Union, Sandyford and The Hills.

The first course on our coaching ladder is the CL Coaching Kids 5-11years Course which is open to all those aged 16 and above and is great for people looking to coach young players in their clubs, community or school. This course concentrates on create a fundamental and inclusive learning environment which will get kids coming back to sessions week after week. It covers fundamental movement skills and cricket's basic core skills for this age group.

The CL Coaching Cricket Course is open to anyone aged 18 and above and is great for people coaching players aged 12 and up as well as adults. This course comes complete with an assessment and feedback module allowing you the opportunity to gain valuable feedback from our experienced tutors and develop an action plan for continued learning post course.

This coming weekend we have several Leinster coaches starting their journey on the ECB Core Coach Course (formerly known as Level 2) taking place in Belfast. There are plans to run this course in the CL Region in Q1 2025.
