Following queries from clubs about the qualification for Cricket Ireland club competitions in 2013 please note the following:
The proposed Cricket Leinster regulations for the 2013 Preliminary round of the RSA Irish Senior Cup were included on the Cricket Leinster website but were not directly communicated to the clubs at the start of 2012.
As a result of complaints from some clubs, a decision was made to have a preliminary round to establish the clubs who were to fill the last two Leinster places in the competition. The new regulations which do away with the preliminary round will apply from 2014.
The two teams that do not qualify for the RSA Irish Senior Cup from the preliminary round in 2013 will be included in the RSA National Cup.'
The draw for the RSA irish Senior Cup and the RSA National Cup will be made on Thursday 13th December at 2pm.
The following Leinster teams are included in the draws for the two competitions. RSA Irish Senior Cup for the Bob Kerr Trophy - Leinster, YMCA, Merrion, Railway Union, The Hills, North County, Pembroke, Phoenix, Malahide/Clontarf, Rush/Terenure
RSA National Cup - Malahide/Clontarf, Rush/Terenure, Balbriggan, Laois, Civil Service, North Kildare, Mullingar, Dundrum"
