  3. CL WOMEN’S FUTURE SERIES CAMPAIGN GETS UNDERWAY (JULY 5/6TH)
2nd July 2026 by Cricket Leinster

CL WOMEN’S FUTURE SERIES CAMPAIGN GETS UNDERWAY (JULY 5/6TH)

The Cricket Leinster Women’s Future Series side for this weekend’s opening round of fixtures in Oak Hill has been confirmed.

Leinster are the holders of the competition having gone unbeaten in last year’s competition, when the sides played each other just once in each format.

Leinster will be looking to retain their Future Series title from 2025

This season sees an extension of the campaign, as Leinster will face each of it’s counterparts from the North on two occasions in each format, with the table derived from the combined results across both the T20 and 40-over fixtures.

As with last season, the side is skippered by Merrion’s Annabel Squires, who is one of five from her club in the 13 strong squad for the opening fixture on Sunday against the North West.

Several of these players also have Super Series experience to call upon, whilst there are four club captains included in the squads across the opening two days including Isobel Jennings (Pembroke), Ellie McGee (Rush), Lucy Barry (Clontarf) & Niamh MacNulty (Merrion).
