We are delighted to report that the CL/LTI Table Cricket competition for primary schools got underway this week, with two exciting fixtures marking the start of the tournament.

In the Fingal section, St. Luke’s NS, Tyrrelstown faced St Michael’s Holy Angels, Chapelizod in a thrilling contest on Wednesday. After a close battle, St. Michael’s emerged victorious by just 11 runs, securing their place at the Leinster Finals Day on December 3rd, where they will proudly represent Fingal.
Meanwhile, in the South Dublin section, Lucan ETNS took on St. Mary’s BNS, Lucan earlier today. Lucan ETNS claimed the win and will progress to the next round, where they’ll meet the winners of the upcoming Libermann Spiritan School, Templeogue vs Esker ETNS, Lucan match which is scheduled to take place on November 19th.

Teachers from participating schools have already expressed satisfaction with the competition, highlighting how much it means for the children to represent their schools. For many, it was their first time taking part in any sporting competition—and for several pupils, their first experience representing their school in any activity.
The CL/LTI Table Cricket Competition provides a fantastic opportunity for schools across the province to get involved in inclusive sport, fostering teamwork, confidence, and community through cricket.

Further updates to come over the coming weeks as we progress towards Finals Day on 3rd December at the National Sports Campus.
As always, we hugely appreciate the support of Lords Taverner’s Ireland in making this happen.
