Thanks from Cricket Leinster all those who attended the Awards Night & Gala Dinner in the Round Room at the Mansion House.

With over 390 people in attendance from 32 clubs, it was a busy night with 56 trophies, awards and cups presented by a combination of Meena Baskarasubramanian (2025 President) and Brian Kelleher (2026 President).

The MC for the evening was Bryan Dobson who did a brilliant job in ensuring a smooth operation and high levels of audience engagement throughout the event.
Our thanks to Sports Hub (Arun Kumar & Yogesh Kashyap) for their sponsorship and support of the event.

Some key individual awards were also announced on the night including:
VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR (2025)
Niall Walsh & The Live Stream Team at Pembroke CC

With Niall taking a well earned break in Nepal, we were delighted to have Craig Senior and Amanda Dunlop on-hand to receive the Volunteer Award on behalf of the live-stream team at Pembroke CC. By applying his immense technical skills to his love of cricket, Niall has pioneered the concept of live-streaming being an integral part of the fabric of his club throughout each summer. Through his volunteer dedication and commitment, all club games at Sydney Parade are afforded the same level of coverage irrespective of level which has ensured an increased level of profile and inclusion for all members, players and club alumni right across the globe.
HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE
Brian O'Rourke, Pembroke CC
Brian O'Rourke was inducted into the Cricket Leinster Hall of Fame having amassed 9,386 runs across 26 seasons including 6 hundreds and 49 fifties over a playing career which spanned 437 matches. His highest score (125*) was made against Phoenix in the Park during the 1991 season. He was also a strong contributor for his club with the ball taking 367 wickets at an average of 21.59 per wicket including a best of 7/29 against Dublin University in College Park during the 1990 season.

Whilst his playing stats are impressive, Brian is really synonymous with underage coaching in Leinster and has directly contributed to the growth and development of countless Inter-provincial and International cricketers over the past 30 years.
He has also been heavily involved at inter-provincial level, leading Leinster Under 15s and Leinster Under 17s at every tournament since 1997 enjoying an unprecedented and unrivalled level of success over that period. The Leinster Boys squads under his tutelage are the envy of all other provinces.
In liaison with our Local Authority partners, he has supported the establishment of many new clubs over the past 15 years, including Clondalkin, Dundalk, Swords, Tyrrelstown, DLR County, Carlow, Finglas and Ongar.

As CL Development Manager for North Leinster, Brian continues to have oversight of all underage development across Dublin City, Fingal and all adjoining counties.
Brian was presented with his Hall of Fame Award on stage by Meena Baskarasubramanian to a standing ovation from the entire room.
The evening concluded with a DJ and energetic dancing - all great fun as the club cricket community celebrated a brilliant 2025 season and looked forward to the 2026 season which is now just a few weeks away!
