  3. ALAN MURRAY CUP ROUND UP AND SEMI FINAL DRAW
21st May 2023 by Cricket Leinster

ALAN MURRAY CUP ROUND UP AND SEMI FINAL DRAW

The last day of the group section saw two matches per team and all to play for at the start of the day.

From the morning matches Railway Union in Group B were the only team to seal their Semi Final place, leaving three out of the four groups going down to the last match.

In Group A it was a straight playoff between Balbriggan and Clontarf, with the home side coming out on top (for the second time today) to seal a semi final spot.

In Group C The Hills beat Malahide twice in the day to top the table.

The last matches in Group D saw DUCC level of points but behind Merrion on NRR, both teams having won one of the matches between them. DUCC therefore needed a big win against North Kildare at the same time as Merrion were looking for a big win in Leinster. Both teams recorded victories but Merrion were able to retain their NRR advantage and go through to the Semi Final.
