DLR County, the club formed by the merger of Dundrum and Cabinteely, won their first ever trophy when their 2nd team beat Clontarf 3 in the final of the YMCA Salver.

The competition was played in a straight knock out format, with DLR County making their way to the final from  he southern end of the draw, with wins over Railway Union 3, Leinster 3 and Pembroke 3. In the north of the province, Clontarf reached the final with wins over Malahide 3, Balbriggan 2, Adamstown 1 (mysteriously appearing in the north!) and Phoenix 3.

The final was head in YMCA's Claremont Road ground on July 21. Clontarf managed only 118 all out, with only Damian Gargan passing 20. Tarf were on the back foot as soon as Rana Asad was dismissed in the first over, and perhaps the only time they would have felt confident was at 43-1. Wickets for Sanket Patil, Rahul Balachandran and Jinto Mathew saw DLR County start their innigns as favourites.

Sandeep Shahdeo was dismissed early to leave DLR County 2-1, but a succession of partnerships saw the south side club reach the target with 9 balls and 5 balls to spare, Arjun Chandrasekar anchoring the innings with 46*.
