This week on The Slog Sweep saw former West Indian all-rounder, and current Ireland national coach Phil Simmons join us in-studio for Andrew 'Lenny' Leonard's final feature interview. Phil's conversation included all things cricket, from his early memories in Ireland as a player, to his time now as national coach looking forward to the 2015 Cricket World Cup. We also welcome Mark 'Robbo' Robinson back into the hot seat, as he joins George for their co-hosting debut.
Our eleventh visit to 'Club Corner' is from Cork County Cricket Club, where Club Treasurer and MCU President David Griffin joined us on the phone discussing their high-flying season. We're also delighted to hear from Kevin O'Brien live from his hotel room in Trinidad, discussing his exploits in the Caribbean Premier League.
Leinster and Ireland's Laura Delany came into studio to review their fantastic weekend in Devon last weekend and looked forward to their T20s this week. Live from The Holm was Jordan McGonigle, looking back on yet another cup win for Donemana. Another cup winner, in Clontarf captain Eoghan Delany, talked to us about his side's victory in Milverton last weekend. And as usual, we are 'Around the Grounds' with our three correspondents, Barry Chambers, David Holmes and Ger Siggins. There's plenty of Performances of the Week, an NCU-filled O'Neill's Team of the Week, an #AlmostCricketLegend tale, and all our regular reviews and previews of Irish cricket news.
Hosted by George Hook and Mark Robinson with thanks to Johnston, Mooney & O'Brien.
