It was a pretty quiet week on the rankings front, with more rain on Sunday putting a halt to cricket being played in the Irish Senior Cup and National Cup games.
In the matches that did go ahead on Sunday, as well as the full program of league and cup matches on Saturday, it was very much the favourites who won on each occasion, meaning much of the rankings are very much as you were.
In Leinster, the only real surprise was Phoenix's loss to Trinity meaning they dropped two places to 25th. Their conquerors, Dublin University still do not figure on the table, having not played the required amount of games. As a guide a side needs to be playing six qualifying games each year over a three year cycle to quailfy - Trinity should appear in the table after this Saturday's match against Rush.
Unfortunately Cork County's stay in the table was merely fleeting, as they had another week without a match against 1st team opposition. They should reenter the table after they play Trinity on June 1st.
The North West was entirely devoid of shocks, as the first round of the Senior Cup got under way with a series of mismatches between Premier League and Championship teams. In the NCU, there were a couple of minor shocks as Bangor beat Derriaghy (moving them up 2 to 47th) whilst Cliftonville beat Carrickfergus.
In the top 10, Clontarf's win over Railway gained them more points than The Hills' two wins over Terenure and Glendermott, whilst Civil Service North's loss to North Down allowed the North West's top club, Coleraine, to move up to 8th.
