  3. Youth Cricket – Halfway Report
14th July 2011 by Brian O'Sullivan

Youth Cricket – Halfway Report

Under 11A – Molins Cup

The number of games played is most disappointing. Seven clubs have played between 2 and 4 out of 10 matches. The table may be misleading but Pembroke with 6 wins lead from Leinster and YMCA (who are the only unbeaten side). Clontarf and Merrion are not out of it.

Under 11B – Claremont Cup

Section 1 seems to be between Rush and Leinster who are both unbeaten.

The same situation exists in Section 2 where Clontarf are unbeaten and are being chased by Old Belvedere.

Under 11C – Stockton Cup

The Northern section is dominated by Clontarf who are unbeaten followed by Old Belvedere. It is hard to see any other club catching either.

Three clubs are fighting out the Southern section with the unbeaten YMCA followed closely by Leinster and Railway Union.

Under 13A – Cicily Vincent Cup

With 50% of the games played Clontarf are unbeaten and four wins clear of the remainder. They are followed by a group of seven clubs of whom North County and Rush have only one loss each.

Under 13B – J D Caprani Cup

Section 1 has two unbeaten teams, Clontarf and Railway Union, leading the way. North Kildare and Merrion have only lost once so could come into contention.

In Section 2 any of five clubs could take the two qualifying slots but Leinster and Rush are tied at the top.

Under 15 and HigherA

There are too few games played at U15, U17 and U19 to offer any predictions.

Under 11 Girls

Any of five clubs could win this league with Clontarf having one win more than the rest.

Under 13 Girls

In this league YMCA and The Hills are leading the way although Railway Union with only one loss could still contend.

Under 15 Girls

Not enough games have been played yet but Malahide lead with two wins.
