WINS FOR PEMBROKE, MALAHIDE, RUSH AND MERRION - ED SPORTS PREMIER LEAGUE! (23.07)

There were wins for Merrion, Pembroke, Rush & Malahide this evening, as the ED Sports Premier League continued to throw up plenty of interesting results with the league table taking shape.

Kicking off in The Vineyard, Merrion were dominant with the ball, as they shot The Hills out for just 39 in the 15th over. Bella Armstrong claimed three wickets without conceding a run, whilst there were two apiece for Julianne Morrissey and Ashwi Manoj. Aisling Lawlor continued her good form, making an unbeaten 23 as they knocked off the total in just 4.2 overs.

An excellent performance with the bat for Rush saw them hunting down Clontarf's 147 in 18 overs. The hosts innings was built on 30s for Rosie Neuman-Jones and Robyn Searle, whilst Alice Walsh was unbeaten on 21. Aadita Subramanya Ramnathpur starred with the ball taking 3/25 for the visitors. Rush's chase was off to a slow start, Lucy Barry claiming two wickets, however at 21/3, Aoife Beggs joined Cate Pedersen, and the pair added a fine unbroken stand of 127, finishing on 55 and 59 respectively as they claimed victory with 12 balls to spare, bringing 24 points back to Kenure.

In the Park, Phoenix batted first however only Aditiba Chudasama could pass 20, top scoring as her side managed 101/6 in their 20 overs, Anna Beale bowling excellently to claim 2/15 for the visitors. In response, Pembroke were aggressive and hunted the total down inside 12 overs, Marama Downes making 39 from just 23 deliveries, whilst there was also 33 at a run a ball for Izzy McLean in a 7 wicket win for the Sydney Parade side.

Finally, in Observatory Lane, Leinster were indebted to 56 for Laura Delany in making 120/7 in their 20 overs. Isobel McCormack and Gemma Sargent claiming two wickets apiece to ensure the hosts couldn't get away from Malahide. In reply, Meg Thompson's unbeaten 57 guided The Village to victory with two overs to spare, in spite of an excellent spell from Jenny Sparrow which saw her claim 2/19.
