U15 Girls Trial Match 2 Summary Report

Yesterday the second, and last, of the Cricket Leinster U15 Girls Trial Matches was held in The Hills CC. Selection will be announced shortly for the Leinster U15 Girls squad that will go to the 2017 Malvern Festival from August 7^th – 10^th. It will be sent to all parents within the next 24hour and then released on this website as soon as the players involved have fully confirmed their availability.

Cricket Leinster coaches for yesterday’s match were – Vanessa Kelada and Una Raymond Hoey. Scorer was Naomi Scott-Hayward. Thank you to Clontarf CC who hosted the training for the teams last Friday. Massive thanks to The Hills who hosted the match in the Clinton’s grounds in Margaretstown in the end (due to the square at The Vineyeard being flooded). We are very grateful to the groundsmen and DSP workers in the club, as well as Martha Maguire and Mary Palmer who helped out during the day. Last but not least thanks goes to the LCUSA for arranging umpires and the official umpires themselves, Jeremy Jeffery and Peter Thew.

Note: 35 over match was reduced due to weather to 28 overs.
