A reduced match saw Leinster get to 139-9 off 30 overs, with a multitude of Leinster players all getting t double figures. Malcolm Rule top scored with 30, but Eoin Byrne, Tom Halliday, Mathew Tonge, Rob O'Connor and Joe O'Sullivan all made contributions. For Carlow, Rocky Butt and Kiran Thokala both took 2-18, and Sairam Mangisetty 3-17.

Early wickets for Ikhtiar Sanzai (who finished with 3-16) looked to have Leinster on top, but from 5-2, Carlow staged a strong recovery. Rocky Butt hit 25 and Amir Mehmood 33 before Jazab Azeem scored an unbeaten 51 to see Carlow home with 5 wickets and two overs to spare.
