RSA Open Competitions: League Positions End May

Last week we noted how well the 1st XIs of some of the smaller clubs were doing in the league this season and by the end of May they were heading up four divisions of the Open Competitions. But a couple of the larger clubs are also doing well, in particular Clontarf [leading three divisions and second in a fourth] and Merrion and Leinster [leading in one division and second in two]. Sandyford are also doing well and are leading in one division and second in another. Across the Open Competitions there are 12 different teams taking top spot across the 14 Divisions.

The most successful team in the league is Railway Union IV in D11 with five wins out of five. Clonee II are also doing well with 4/4 and YMCA III [D6], Merrion V [D7] and Clontarf IV [D8] all have three out of three. Mention shoud also be made of Laois III [D11] who have four wins and a NR out of five.

A composite table for the end of May showing the top and bottom two teams in each division is set out below.
