This Saturday, as part of Phoenix CC's celebration of 50 years of women's cricket in the club, there will be an exhibition game which sees Phoenix's current women's side taking on a team of former Irish internationals.
The game will be facilitated by an honorary coin toss performed by Emer Currie TD, with the game set to begin at 2pm.
Phoenix's side for the game features two current internationals in the shape of their captain Georgina Dempsey and current Ireland captain Gaby Lewis.
The former Irish internationals side meanwhile features hundreds of caps of experience, with representatives from Pembroke, YMCA, Leinster and Merrion all set to take part.
They are led by current Pembroke captain and 100 cap international Shauna Kavanagh, and include regular Premier League players with the likes of Louise McCarthy, Rebecca Rolfe, Hannah Little and Jenny Sparrow all set to take the field.
The game will be followed by interviews with Ireland's first captain Mary Pat Moore, and current captain Gaby Lewis.
