Merrion were the clear winners in the cup competitions this year and only just failed to achieve a clean sweep in the top four. There are only four occasions in the past that a club has won both the Senior and Senior II Cup in the same year [Leinster : 1985, YMCA : 1991, Clontarf : 2008, Clontarf : 2009] and the three top competitions have never been won by the same club in a single season.
The winners and runners up apart from Merrion were divided among the clubs with Pembroke and Leinster doing best with a win and runner up result each. Similarly the Twenty/20 competitions were well spread with eight different clubs appearing in the finals.
