No Changes to Lightning Squad for Festival Weekend

The Leinster Lightning host Middlesex in the marquee match of Cricket Leinster’s centenary celebrations on Friday June 21st in Pembroke Cricket Club.

The following day the first Inter-Provincial T20 Festival Weekend of the 2019 season kicks off at the same ground and the Lightning are delighted to announce that the same 13-man squad will take part.

After a hugely successful Festival weekend was hosted by Pembroke CC last summer, it was the natural choice for them to host this season’s event too.

Coming hot on the heels of the Smartwater Summer Smash against the English county Middlesex on Friday June 21st, supporters of the Leinster Lightning are in for a feast of cricket and family entertainment from Friday through to Monday June 24th.

After playing Middlesex on Friday evening long-time head coach Albert van der Merwe will hand over the reins to Nigel Jones who will begin to put his stamp on the Lightning and the brand of cricket, he would like the Leinster side play.
