MIDLAND CLUBS UNDERAGE SERIES - 2022

Cricket Leinster is delighted to announce the inaugural Midlands Club Underage Series for the 2022 season.

With the increase in participation across all Midland clubs over the past couple of seasons, there are now exciting opportunities to have clubs further their options of growing youth cricket in the region. There are already almost 250 youths registered across the participating clubs.

The Cricket Leinster Midland Club Series will involve several clubs in a locality coming to one venue, and playing several games against each other on the day.

There will be six events in total (3 in each region across the months of June, July and August) and the two regions will be comprised as follows:

• North Midlands with participating teams from Athlone CC, Halverstown CC, Knockharley CC, Mullingar CC and North Kildare CC

• South Midlands with participating teams from Bagenalstown CC, Carlow CC, Kilkenny CC and Laois CC.

Jimmy Dooley, Youth Co-Ordinator of Carlow CC said on the events - “The Club Series is an exciting chance for our youth members to play more games against local clubs over the season, as well as increasing the cricket club’s capacity to deliver a stronger youth programme for its members. I would like to thank Cricket Leinster for organising the Midland Club Series over the summer.”

Each of the participating clubs will be supplied with a number of CL branded cricket sets and all participants will be provided with branded t-shirts to recognised their involvement.
