Leinster sides handed tough draws in 2015 ISC

Leinster sides have received some tough draws in the 2015 Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup. That should be expected in the island's premier competition, and many tough matches have been won as Leinster clubs have dominated in recent years, winning twelve of the last fourteen cups.

Holders The Hills will welcome North Down to Milverton in a repeat of last season's semi final. The Hills won that one by 3 runs, and it's bound to be another nailbiter. After beating North Down, The Hills went on to beat Clontarf in the final, and Tarf have been drawn against fellow Leinster Division 1 side, Cork County. The Munstermen's rise in recent seasons has been impressive, but they will be the underdogs for this one.

Railway Union will play Strabane, although whether that match can be played in Park Avenue is open to question, as early season ground improvements are planned. Terenure welcome Bready to Dublin, although this may be another match with the venue still to be confirmed as Cricket Ireland have not allowed Irish Senior Cup matches to be played on artificial surfaces in recent seasons.

Leinster will welcome frequent visitors Carrickfergus to Rathmines, whilst Malahide and Merrion both have tough looking away sides. Malahide will be travelling to Shaws Bridge to play Instonians - last year's NCU champions. Merrion have an intriguing tie, as they travel to Belmont to play the free spending CIYMS.

YMCA look to have the easiest of the ties, travelling to play Woodvale, who were the lowest ranked of the 1ten NCU clubs in the draw. The final two ties with Leinster clubs see Pembroke travel to the North West to play Eglinton in another fascinating match, and North County travel to Donemana in a repeat of the 2008 final.
