The Leinster Futures claimed their third consecutive bonus point victory to kick off the North West of the T20 campaign in fine fashion.

Traffic delays couldn’t halt the momentum of the away side, as having lost the toss they got their desired outcome of fielding first.
Niamh MacNulty & Lucy Barry bowled excellent opening spells, claiming three wickets, whilst there were also sharp pieces of fielding in the ring by Genevieve Morrissey and Sinead Thomson, both of whom combined with Isobel Jennings for run-outs.
Ellie McGee was the pick of the bowlers once again, claiming 2/7 off her four overs, whilst Sinead Thomson also claimed a brace of wickets, finishing with 2/22. When Aisling Lawlor claimed the final wicket, the North West were all out for 89.
Leinster’s chase was professional in manner once again, as Annabel Squired batted freely in spite of the loss of two early wickets.
Squires and Morrissey never allowed the bowlers to settle into their spells, and added a fine unbroken stand of 76 in just 48 deliveries to secure a bonus point win with more than 5 overs to spare once again.
Squires was unbeaten on 44, whilst Morrissey finished on 18, as the North West cycled through 6 bowlers in a span of just 8 overs searching for the breakthrough.
